9th Annual Indonesian Movie Awards
The 9th Annual Indonesian Movie Awards was held on May 18, 2015, at the Balai Sarbini, South Jakarta. The award show was hosted by Nirina Zubir, Ringgo Agus Rahman, and Dennis Adhiswara.〔(Selamat! Inilah Deretan Pemenang Indonesian Movie Awards 2015 )〕 And the nominations have been announced for the category of Favorite, which will be chosen by the public via SMS. As for the category of Best, will be selected by a jury that has been appointed.〔 As a guest star who will fill the event, among them Ridho Rhoma, Ayu Ting Ting, Mieke Wijaya, Willy Dozan, Chelsea Islan, Tatjana Saphira, Vincent Rompies, Desta, etc.
''Nada Untuk Asa'' leads the nominations with eight nominations each, with ''Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku'' and ''Di Balik 98'' followed behind with six nominations each. In the night ceremonies, ''Cahaya Dari Timur: Beta Maluku'' were biggest winner with receiving three awards trophies each. Followed behind by ''Di Balik 98'' and ''Nada Untuk Asa'' success receiving two awards each.
This year, Indonesian Movie Awards give two special awards, namely Lifetime Achievement Award to a figure that is considered to be dedicated to the world of Indonesian film. This award is given to Mieke Wijaya because of her dedication and totality in Indonesian film. While Special Awards are also given to Alex Komang because of his dedication to the world of Indonesian film.
